"DÉ - IDÉ" new piece of Andra Perrin for the students of the modern dance departement of the theaterschool Amsterdam.
Two short pieces using the same concept, fixed rules, set movement material, and working with chance operations.
For these two pieces, the space is divided in six imaginary squares numbrered from 1 to 6.
Each intersection of two lines forming a square has a number from 1 to 12.
Each square is divided in 9 numbered circles and each circle is divided in 12.
These rules allowed to set the dancers in space, to decide of their trajectory,
and their orientation. For these pieces a movement repertory was created of 40
movement divided into two categories of 20 numbered movement or segments.
The movement combinations as well as the trajectories or the orientations of the dancers
are set by using chance operations (dicing).
